Dr. Boney provides distance therapy via HIPPA-compliant programming to clients who are Florida residents. She is unable to provide distance therapy to non-Florida residents per the State of Florida licensing requirements for Marriage and Family Therapists. Distance therapy sessions cannot be billed to insurance, which requires that counseling sessions be conducted in person.
Many individuals and couples ask if their insurance will cover their therapy. I don't participate with any insurance plans. Speaking with your insurance company about your out of network benefits for counseling will help you determine what kind of reimbursement you can expect after you have met your out of network deductible. If you want to submit claims to your insurance provider for your sessions, I can give you a superbill to include with your claim. When you pay an out-of-network provider, you need a special kind of receipt referred to as a superbill. It includes all of the specific codes and information required by your insurance company.
